Conference Highlights

The SAP Academic Alliance Conference - North America 2020 will be held at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on July 20 - 21, 2020. This year, there will be increased opportunities for participants to present and to discuss innovative ideas. In addition to the traditional paper presentation format, we are introducing the TRED talk format. See the details below. There will be a fee to attend the conference.

Calls for Participation

The theme of the SAP Academic Alliance Conference - North America 2020 is Digital Transformation. The conference planning committee invite submissions in two categories described below.

Teaching, Research, Education and Diversity Papers

The SAP Academic Alliance Conference - North America 2020 invites you to submit a paper for presentations on your research, and pedagogic innovation surrounding Digital Transformation.

The accepted paper presentations, which are part of the SAP University Alliances Conference, offer a venue for educators and researchers to share, showcase, and discuss their pedagogical/research programs involving digital transformation usage of SAP solutions or other related digital innovations in pedagogy and related research. We also welcome submissions on work-in-progress for which additional discussion is desired. Preference is given to papers that include SAP related content.

All submissions will be blind peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers. Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Cloud and Fog computing
  • Transforming pedagogy with S/4HANA
  • My journey to HANA (not the town in Maui)
  • Novel ways to incorporate SAP technology in curriculum
  • UX
  • Innovations in Teaching and Learning
  • Experiments in student engagement
  • Digital transformation research
  • SAP and data science: Intersections

Accepted papers will be considered for best papers awards. For accepted papers to be included in the Proceedings, authors are required to attend the conference to present them.

All papers should be formatted according to this Submission Template.

Teaching, Research, Education and Diversity Papers

We are introducing a new way to participate at the SAP UA conference with TRED Talks, inspired by the TREO talks at ICIS and TED talks. You will submit a one page abstract that will be editorially reviewed for fit with the conference theme and once accepted you will have a 10 minute presentation that will be submitted the week before the talk so we can build a rapid fire program of exciting and interesting ideas how to promote Teaching, Research, Education or Diversity in the SAP University Alliances. TRED Talk slides will be publically shared after the conference on the Conference website to inspire the broader community and find partners to innovate with. Preference is given to papers that include SAP related content.

All submissions will be blind peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers. Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

Topics that could be submitted for TRED talks include the following:

  • Ideas for novel teaching innovations you are looking to develop
  • Research ideas that leverage SAP UA curriculum or technologies
  • Novel ideas for improving education within the UA community
  • Ideas to increase diversity and inclusion in academic programs and the workplace
